Your Colorado elopement can look however you want

Maybe you're picturing a sunrise ceremony with the mountains glowing behind you. Maybe you want to spend the day exploring different spots, stopping for photos whenever the views are too good to pass up. Or maybe you want a beautiful outdoor ceremony with your favorite people and dinner afterward in a little mountain town.

There's no one right way to do it.

Your wedding day doesn't have to be a huge production, and you don't have to spend the entire day taking photos. I want you to have time to soak it all in, enjoy being together, and actually experience the place you chose to get married.

I'll help you feel comfortable in front of the camera, give you direction when you need it, and leave room for the moments that happen naturally along the way.

Mountain views, alpine lakes, winding mountain roads, and a whole day to celebrate your favorite person. If getting married in Colorado sounds more like you than a traditional wedding, you're in the right place.

I'm Katie, a Colorado Elopement photographer who loves to document elopements and intimate weddings. Whether you're dreaming of exchanging vows beside a mountain lake, exploring the mountains together, or celebrating with your closest people, I'd love to help you document it all.

You don't need to have every detail figured out yet. That's part of the fun!

Where do you want to elope in Colorado?

Colorado has so many different landscapes to choose from, and the location you pick can completely change the feel of your day.

Keystone, Dillon & Summit County

Think alpine lakes, mountain overlooks, evergreen trees, and gorgeous views without necessarily needing a long hike to get there. The Keystone and Dillon areas are great places to start if you're dreaming of a mountain elopement with plenty of scenery to explore.

Sapphire Point, Dillon Reservoir, and nearby mountain locations are worth looking into depending on your vision, guest count, and the time of year.

Loveland Pass & the high alpine mountains

If you want dramatic mountain views and that feeling of being surrounded by the peaks, the high alpine areas might be for you. These locations can be incredible for adventurous couples who don't mind an early start or a little wind.

Weather, altitude, road access, and seasonal closures are important considerations when planning an elopement at higher elevations.

Silverton & the San Juan Mountains

If I had to pick a favorite kind of Colorado scenery, the San Juan Mountains would be hard to beat. Think rugged peaks, mountain lakes, winding dirt roads, aspen trees, and little mountain towns.

The Silverton, Durango, and surrounding areas are especially beautiful for couples who want their wedding day to feel like a mountain adventure.

Not sure where you want to go yet?

That's completely fine! You don't have to pick a specific overlook or lake before reaching out. Tell me what kind of scenery you're drawn to, how many people you want there, and what you want your day to feel like. We can start there and narrow down your options.
